Well, well, young man, thats rather rude of you !

Maybee if you take the time to introduce oneself with a bit more decourum,
One would recieve a more favourable reply to ones predicament!

Know it sounds daft but check the battery - I had a similar experience on a rover 200

Ello Dave!:p

Sounds like it could be the fuel pump in the tank ?
But i aint sure if that puts yer mil light on or not !
can you hear the pump clickin when you turn on the ignition? ( under the rear o/s seat) have a listen for it.
You could try whippin the pipes off and switchin on the ignition, see if it chucks any fuel out.;)

Worked on one last Thursday.
Td4 has 2 pumps, 1 in the engine bay next to fuel filter, the other in tank.
After removing e/bay pump it checked out OK, but when I took the one out of tank ( could not hear this working by the way with IGN on) I found a great deal of what looked like "Brown Jelly" in the bottom of the unit, this had obviously blocked the "fuel pick up" and knackered the motor up" I replaced the unit and everything was OK except for the "Price of the unit ( over 200 Quid !!!!!!! OUCH !!! )

its a common weak problem [rear pump] goin weak un mainly caused by the jelly stuff sparky john mentioned, its doosle fuel ****e [waxin] best cure stick some asda veg oil in now un agin ,just er tad 1/2 litre per 30 gallons or fill up, this will slowly remove the ****e out of the plastic tank un clean all ya bits. . . .however that said if yer pump has gone weak, you'll need ta replace it. . . . .:)

could be yer problem then !

whip the cover off tomorra and disconect the output pipe see if it tries to pump,

if not check the fuse.

or it might be prudent to do "that" furst! ;)

Checked the fuse that was ok, so checked supply to pump and found that I aint gettin any ?:(

check the pump relay [change it wif like fer like] puttin yer hand on lift pump [the one in the front] should run fer bout 12secs then stop, and yer can feel it vibrate, the front un rear run orft same relay. . . .:)

Have checked the swith that seemed ok,if the relay is the one in the engine compartment on the right hand side next to fuses I swapped it with the one next to it but no difference
