Snatch V8 arriving tomorrow

New seats hopefully arriving soon when Tigger comes up north

Landrover getting dropped off at Gibsons early next week or on friday if I can sort out the little niggles before then for the engine transplant

So today my to do list is fairly simple;

Re-drill and secure the windscreen washer then chemical metal the old hole shut

Sand down the chemical metal

Drill new body mounting holes

Finish doing truck cab bolts back up




Then tomorrow it needs a good clean before I put the insulation in and finish off the dash

Insulation and comfy seats? Are tratterers going soft?

It's in case you need a lift 'cos yer gaylander is bust again

Also a case of dad will want a lift as will the eventual new girlfriend so I've gotta compromise a little

Anyone know anything about 1505 carbs ? as thats whats on the engine

Does WZX 1505 sound fitting?
They used these on MGB-GT & one of the Triumph TR's if I recal and I do stand to be corrected. Searching on that may get some fruit in yer basket

Well LR are picking it up tomorrow hopefully so it'll be getting a transplant for the weekend

Seats arrive sunday

MOT week after and then I can clean it up and finish sanding down the body filler I used on the front to get it looking a bit better

Still a couple of tiny jobs but its structurally sound now so I can't see a rot based fail on the cards once it's had a pre-mot check



I'll get a video of startup once it's fitted, things spotless inside the rockers which is nice, still shiny and silver as it was serviced monthly according to the MOD log

Didn't get collected today but it is going tomorrow afternoon at 2

Booked it in properly this morning after finding them a bit too busy today, bricking it, stupid thing just wants to get back on the road and not get tortured by the MOT man

Picked up today, should be about 2 weeks max methinks

Silver TD5 is my mates dad and the red ones my other landy series is going to be way more fun to drive though

Should hopefully be passing its MOT in 2 weeks as the engine swap is being done this coming week not looking forward to the huge bill

Off to drop some cash on a new battery later

I know its blasphemy but I just got an original set of Wolfrace slot mags for a steal so I'm gonna fit the blighters


They'll look good I reckon plus they've all got road legal tyres on them which I need for my MOT
