Hi everyone, I thought it might be time to upload a few pictures of my Land Rover ;)

she's pretty straight overall, no rust in the bulkhead, the chassis is great other than a couple of small spots in the rear cross member which I am going to fix soon

anyway the pics :D

I got her for a bargain, probably about a half of what she is worth over here.

some earlier pics, from the day of arrival.

bit of a project, but not a lot of work really. she should be running pretty quickly.
mostly I need to replace all the brake wheel cylinders and make her all nice and tidy

I am in South Waikato. in a tiny little town called Putaruru. its winter over here so it looks a bit yuck in those pics ;)

did you hear about the earthquake in Christchurch we had on Saturday morning?

anyway has England gone downhill a lot recently or was it always that bad.

Nice Truck,

I have a Series 2A 109 SW in Hawea Flat, near Wanaka. I don't get to play with it often enough.

I noticed an Isuzu sticker - Have you got an Isuzu motor?

What are your plans for it?

Cheers

Jonathan

ah another New Zealander.

anyway its an Isuzu C190 Diesel

doesn't put out a lot of horsepower, but is very reliable.
sometimes I wish it was just a few years older, because then I could get the cheap rego, but if I keep her for another 5 1/2 years then I can

I am planning to tidy her up to a reasonable level, and then do a bit of exploring :) and some offroading where I can.

Just a little update on the engine, the current Isuzu has been rather badly damaged when it was knocking around, so im going to put a 2.3litre turbo diesel in instead, it will fit my adaptor plate and the fuel mileage should be upward of 30mpg (the isuzu it came out of was a similar weight, had similar gearing and was very boxlike)

it puts out around 80hp. so shouldn't be too much for the gearbox
