Spark plug yes...No all the spark plug are ok, error form the MAF dose not apare.... No there is not dowsn with power... is all ok at this point In the morning i got a misfire but after that is all ok... This smell
The MAF may not throw an error, it depends on how it has failed or is failing. if the sensors are dirty then they may be measuring, just not measuring correctly.
The Mass Flow Meter measures the quantity of air, i can be measuring air, just not the right amount of it.
if you have diagnostics and can run live data, look at the reading for the flow of air. My porsche had a failed MAF, it didnt throw any codes but the KG/s reading was significantly down compared to a like for like comparison with another one.
Our silver P38 looks like it has a faulty MAF, i swapped out the MAF from the blue one yesterday, took it for a run and bingo ! runs like a dream now.
if you consider that the engine needs Fuel, Air and Spark.. and all interplay with the MAF, O2 Sensor and fuel metering. I'm not saying it definately is the MAF, only that you need to eliminate it from your fault finding. It may be it, It may be not.. it just sounds like it.
NB> Mind you i know someone who 'kippered' a car on someone once.. they tied a kipper to the exhaust with wire. That didnt smell too good !
