Not fitted ? or cannot be fitted ??

'Most' Disco series ii and facelift ones are 'pre-wired' for cruise and it is a real doodle to fit, takes less than an hour with no more tools than a couple of screwdrivers and a sharp knife/file to cut out the blank for the switch.

The easiest way to check, is to pull out the blanked binicle switch (RHS one up from the fuel flap release) and see if it has a plug and wires in the back, if it has, BINGO, your disco is wired for cruise control.

I did mine, took an hour and less than £40 for the bits.
Mains stealer quoted £800 to fit cruise control .... I bet he would have liked that job.

Tomorrow Friday it will cruise me about 400 miles with a big trailer.

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :D

I'm back (well briefly logging on, it's nearly the end of my first day back at work in 2 weeks, and the need to concentrate for 8 hours has just about done me in, hence this comfort break!!)

Yes, got it a bit muddy but no haven't had the guts (or the time  ) to have a bash at anything other than the muddy / puddle-ridden lanes on the plains.

Would love to watch some proper off-roading though ... anyone know where I can do that near-ish to where I live? And I seriously only intend to watch, honest!! I can see it now, needing to be rescued on my first ever attempt ... argh, how enbarrassing  :)

Blimey, Salisbury Plain is one of best days out I ever had in my Disco... and having it on your doorstep you lucky bleeder... get out on there...but watch out for inbound shells from tanks..!

get a group together in the greenlaning section ther'll be a fair few takers i'm sure???
