hello , just acquired this , pictures are from before I collected it, have spent a few days taking off the decals, cleaning the inside, still to give it a polish to remove the glue residue , find an OE steering wheel to replcae the momo and a ton of other little jobs, I beleive it has has a few "twisted" performance and handling upgrades trying to find out what , joins Mrs Hs black freelander on the driveway
Thanks for looking

Glad your taking off the graphics! I would also swap those pretty hideous wheels over...

Personally always preferred the smaller sports steering wheels in my 90, much more space and I find driving/parking/offroading it much easier with the smaller wheel.

Thanks, undecided on the wheels, unsure it the cost of replacement is worth it... Also removing the tinted rear windows which should un Chelsea tractor it a tad

Again id leave the tint in tact, often factory for an XS, plus its usful for the privacy aspect.

Wheels you should be able to sell pretty easy, full sets of boost alloys arnt gping to break the bank.

Whats the rest of the interior like?

Pretty good, removed most of the carpets to clean as they were brown, few scuffs on the rear window surrounds and the carpet backs of the middle seats are a mess, going to replace them... Sadly the window tints are scuffed up a bit, going to remove them and see how it looks.

Two days of fingernail bleeding... Decals and most of the glue removed , starting to love it but will probably be selling it on... Well after a little bit of drive by shooting

Before with nice gluey panels

After with a quick wash off... Polish to come

All the gangster tint has gone , factory tint is better imo, after a compound all the glue which I thought had gone finally has....Still needs a polish and a wax... new toys do get spoilt, not sure how clean it will stay but at the moment I love it
Bloody alarm keeps going off now though, it's a full time job keeping these things going

And the interior has gone from brown to black ..

Did you ever discover what twisted modifications were on it? how come your selling soon, it will look ace with the right wheels?

It had an engine upgrade from new, turbo inter cooler and exhausts plus some exterior upgrades. I was able to buy it at a good price from a company, I was going to use it as my daily but it's not really that practical when I own five cars.. I have fallen in love with it now, draughty, rattle , drippy, squashed to one side, noisey all add up to a great feeling it a big beautiful beast but not really good as a popping around town car , £500 car tax doesn't help either ..May be gone next. Wednesday , gutted ... Think if it was staying the wheels would be going black or graphite

Sounds like a great find you had to come with all the twisted mods, they certainly don't come cheap. I guess it was just used as a promotional car so had a relatively easy life driving through the city and events. Feel free to tell me to mind my own business but did you buy direct from relentless? I always wonder what happens to promo cars, like the red bull minis etc, I guess many just end up in auction.

Five cars already in the fold haha, ok I can see why you don't need to keep this one regardless of how nice it is. Good luck with whatever you decide.
