easy bleaders are ok, iv used mine twice today, stick 40 psi in a spare, get a lid that fits and away yer go, just be ready with lots of water and rags if yer blow the top off :D

40psi! Ok if you want to risk a brake fluid shower, I suppose.

Doesn't the packet say 10-15psi max?

best way ive found to bleed the injector pump on a 10j engine is

1 remove the injectors so yer not fighting against the compression and while theyre out soak the tips in thinners as itll decoke the buggers good n proppa

2 slacken the 2 bleed nuts off on the injector cav pump and use the manual lever on the lift pump to prime it up to them till only diesel comes out of them and no bubbles

3 after tightning the buggers put the hand crank handle in set the hand throttle at half way then proceed to crank the bugger over by hand till yer see derv coming out of the pipes for the injectors

4 replace the injectors and connect the pipes then turn the engine over for a few seconds before attatching the rubber overflow pipes on the tops then turn the engine over a little more making sure the remaining air is forced out of there then reconnect the return pipe to the back injector

5 slacken off injectors 2-3-4 where the pipe goes onto the injector 16mm spanner then turn the engine over with the key till yer see puffs of smoke from the exhaust

6 tighten injector number 3 and set yer hand throttle to 1 notch from the bottom so it keeps going when it fires then turn the engine over with the key the engine should start trying to start coughing and spluttering running on 2 cylinders sounding like a bag of nails

7 if its not trying tighten number 4 then retry soon as its running rocky get in there with yer 16mm spanner and tighten cylinder 2 up if its still ropey hold a little power on with the rev lever on the pump and crack cylinder number 1 off till it starts squirting fuel out not little spits then tighten it back up

8 now its just a case of slackening off injectors in the order 1 then 4 then 1 again then if need be number 3 then 2 she should be fully bled and air purged at this point :D:D:D

slowed down abit on the wiring, still not wired up though :( hopfully someone is coming to do it and get it done then, only need the front end and all that back on and paint it :(

You're still alive then? :)

Are you making your own loom or have you bought one from autosparks? Be thankful its a series ad nothing more complicated :D I'll be making the loom for mine from scratch

Its good to see body panels going back on isn't it :)

Next week we'll start to run wires :) We're making the loom first and then putting it in the vehicle (we've got a 2.5 diesel on ours so the loom is a little diferent plus the extra stuff we'll be adding. We've got to do as much as possible before my granddad gets back from spain and starts interfering too much

:cool:does anyone reckon i should make this series 3 into a truck cab? :D:D:D:D:D:D:your_wrong::your_wrong::your_wrong::welcome::welcome::welcome::behindsofa::behindsofa::behindsofa::director::director:

I don't think you get as much space with a truck cab and they look a bit cramped IMO. You could always king cab it like dr.evil plans to do on his
