Morning all.

I have just purchased my first RR, a 2004 HSE. I've never had a 4x4 before but living in the UAE makes it a little more affordable than home, I won't mention how much it costs to fill it up over here!

Just after some initial advice regarding the suspension setting. Do you keep your RR on standard setting or the low option? The roads are pretty good here and it will do most miles on the motorway, but there are also a lot of speed bumps. It is running on a set of 22" wheels and looks great on low, but I don't want to mess around if there is a standard setting for a reason!!

Appreciate your help and look forward to some good tips and banter on here.

Not too familiar with L322 model but on the P38 the suspension will adjust itself based on the road speed. On the motorway it will drop into the lower setting and then return to normal when your speed is low (for the speedbumps).
You can manually select the low setting and lock it in but I never saw the point in that. The ride is bumpier and it kind of defeats the purpose of having active suspension.

Iv got an l322

Normal driving should be set on the middle height setting. When on motorways it will automatically drop to low height mode and then it will raise back up to normal height once you slow back down. High mode is for off road only as the cars very bouncy when on high - either way when it's on high mode the cars speed gets restricted to 30mph.
Hope this helps

What hippo said - if you set it low, it will auto go back to the middle (standard) if you go over about 15 mph - the 'motorway' setting can't be selected manually - you need to do 50mph for about 30 sec (from memory). You can adjust the actual height of each setting & 22" wheels should've had this done already so it doesn't foul in access (manual low) mode

Interesting
How do you go about adjusting each of the heights from the factory defaults ??
As iv fitted 20" wheels recently upgrading from the original ones ?

Sorry, I can't remember the details - I'm sure there's been threads on here about it. I know stealers can do it, and some of the aftermarket diagnostic machines (blackbox type etc) have the capability. You should be ok with 20's anyway, as they'll have a slightly lower profile tyre, so the overall diameter will be very similar to the standard 19's
