Anyone who seen my little introduction will know I've just picked up an old 2002 2.0 freelander GS, only done around 80 miles so far engine seems sweet, gear changes are nice and smooth and it goes in a straight line, win! There are a few little niggles that from having a look around on here seem pretty common. Firstly I'm driving round with roof lining resting on my head.. got some little fabric twist pins coming to sort that. Secondly the passenger front window doesn't open just makes a horrible grinding noise and I believe many of you have suffered with this so where would the best (most cost effective ahem) place to order a new cable/kit? The black trim has turned an off grey colour in places with a weird tiger stripe and there's a touch of surface rust to be expected but I've touched that in with the thought of using raptor liner to do the entire truck at some point, anyone done this with a freelander? I'm also thinking of lifting it a little and adding some more rugged looking wheels/tyres so any advice there appreciated. I tend to buy and sell alot of cars/bikes but I am enjoying rolling about in the freelander even though it is painfully slow at times. Thanks for reading, any tips much appreciated!
