Hello, I have a S1 200tdi disco and the central locking has stopped working.
My remote locking has failed also.
On investigation when I turn the key on the driver’s door, each central locking motor will make a feeble hum but not push the mechanism to lock or unlock the doors.
I have found a box of tricks behind the fuse box that clicks when I turn the key and I guess this is the main control box for the central locking and remote locking (this has also stopped working).

The wiring looks quite complicated on each door (so many wires) and I cannot seem to by pass anything to begin a process of elimination.

At the moment I have exhausted all my test light wiring Sherlock investigations.

Any ideas will be vey helpful

I had the same problem, after a few failed attempts I got fed up and left it and it finally stopped making any noise.

On a whim one day I bought a cheap kit from ebay for £29.99 and replaced the lot, since then it hs worked like a dream. the only problems that I can think of is if it is a 5 door, mine is a 3 door and I just omitted the last plunger. the other thing is that the new ones work oppisite from the original appart from the back door, this meant that when I pressed the lock button, the front doors would open and the back door would lock.

I solved this by swapping the 2 wires on the back door, when I use the key its fine but if I use the fob i press lock to unlock the door and unlock to lock the door.......but hey I can live with that.
