I bought my rangie just over 2 years ago with a new mot, last years mot was a clean bill, today picked up 3 advisories.
1...NSF shock has light misting of oil.
2...OSF shock has light misting of oil.
3...NSR brake pad wearing thin..
The first year I spent a bit on a new engine cooling rad, thermostat, alternator/air con belts, aircon filters, suspension airbags, one blend motor plus general service bits.
Has it broken down YES once, the clutch cross shaft roll pins sheared, but I drove it home without the clutch, 2.60 GBP and 2 weekends work.
So far (hugging an oak tree because its bound to wrong now) its been the most cost effective vehicle I've owned, my previous vehicles have included Jaguars, Fords, Vauxhalls, Land Rover Ser 1, 2A, and a 110 V8 HT and a Toyota FJ 40 Landcruiser.
