Hi there,

I have an issue with the heating system in my 2002 Td5 Defender 110 DCPU, there is a musty smell coming from the heater when used on the hot air setting.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this, come across the same or git any ideas how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance

Check the heater housing fan drain isnt blocked, the seals in the heater box are water absorbent cheapo foam so may have mould etc growing on them.
Could also be a dead animal in the trunking between box and front wing!

Thanks guys.

I'll check the drain holes and heater fan housing for mould etc at the weekend.

Hopefully I won't find any dead critters in the trunking, but I guess it's possible!

Foxyred - How do I access the lower dash to check?

It's a biggish job, not hard but long winded.
I would try and peep through the lower vents and maybe a cheapo endoscope pushed in there.
