I have had a good search of threads to see if any covered my faults, but no luck!

Vehicle is a 1995 300tdi

Basically last week whilst en route to the MOT station the indicators packed in. So I tasked the garage carrying out the MOT to fix the indicators before testing. The indicator fault turned out to be corroded terminals on the fuse panel where the flasher unit plugs in - so all resolved with a replacement fuse panel!

Now the Disco will not start unless you touch a direct feed from the starter solenoid to the ingnition barrel. Also, the central locking and alarm do not work. The vehicle started fine and alarm and central locking all worked before the fault with the indicators.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to look? and where I'm likely to find the control unit for the central locking and alarm? I have had a good look at all wiring behind the fuse panel and cannot find anything out of place.

Oh dear what a nightmare.
Ive just been looking at the wiring on mine.
Not sure why but the crimps seem to be very poor, a couple in the plugs just to the left of the drivers footwell have pull out or broken on mine!!!.
If you have a idea where they fiddle have a good look at the wiring, it may just be a poor joint or a broken wire. there are lots of connectors under the dash.
I'd suggest following the cable from the ignition switch very carefully and see what you find.
It may be that there is other corrosion in the fuse box!!!.
By the way land rover earths are a perpetual problem, just taken all mine off and redone them !!!!!! headlights and starter etc. Plus I've had the dash out to change the heater matrix and did all of those under the dash at the same time.
I wish you very good luck.
