So I'm driving to work. My Freelander SE, 2.8l 6cyl, starts to lose power then stalls. The engine cranks, but won't start. I check with my code reader and come up with the following codes:
P0171, System too lean, bank 1
P01319, Misfire with low/empty fuelDrive Cycle c: Signal out of Range -above
maximum
P1473, Variable inlet manifold motor2. Short circuit to V. Batt.
P1471, Variable Intake Manifold - Bank 1, Always Closed
P0128, Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temp Below Thermostat Regulating
Temperature)
P0174, System Too lean, Bank 2
At the time, my low fuel light had just come on. I checked and I have spark at the coils from the plug wires, and the linkage on both manifold valves are ok. Should the motors be able to be turned hand? Also, I do not hear the fuel pump when I turn the key forward. I tried the fuel pump reset but it was ok.
I should also mention the warped head, but that has not been a problem with engine performance, and my starter has been acting up previously with intermittant starting.
ANy ideas? I don't know where to start...
