Any recommendations for digital multimeters? I've got an analogue one, but seeing the difference between 13.9 and 14.2 volts is pretty impossible.

I've got a few of these - good for what they are but only to be used for indication

you'll not see any of these with a calibration sticker on

I've had one of those for a couple of years and I'd recommend them. Good piece of kit.

defo worth having a couple digital ones floating about, sooooo usefull!
but of corse.. it helps knowing what to use them on and how

A lot of the cheapo's are as accurate as my fluke these days, the technology moves on.
Have a look at CPC.co.uk, Tenma do a very useful digital clamp meter, you can use it as a normal ohm/volt meter but also with the clamp check current without the need to disconnect the battery. They also have a good range of cheap DVM's.

Go to Machine Mart and get a Clarke CA500 about £24.00 or a Lazer 1574 about £34.00.

Unless you get in-depth into electronics even a 5 quid digital one will do as long as it has Ohms, DC/AC Volts and DC Amps

I've got fine calibrated instruments costing hundreds, only difference between those and my pocket cheap as chips one is merely in the 0.01-5 error area, so don't spend a fortune unless you're a loaded perfectionist.
