Hi Folks

Looking for a rear mounted MTB rack for my 90....Anyone mount their MTBs on the back of their defenders???

Any Suggestions on what rack to go for???

It has a Sparewheel and a towbar.....

Cheers
Iain :)

To be honest id rather transport mine inside my 90, i just use some home made tie rings and a couple of bunjees and it works well. Only trouble is you have to take the wheels off, but its doesnt take long and you could fit 4-5 bikes in altogether.

I would do but my bike is pretty big, I can only fit it on its own diagonally with no wheels

As I would be carrying a few bikes normally up hills to cycle down all day long removing wheels aint practical :(

Need a 2(minimum) bike external rack, either body, spare wheel or Towbar mounted??

Any suggestions???

That's why I have a 110. Bike goes inside with Wheels still on. Plus when doing the 12-24 hour events I sleep inside as well.

If I did get a rack I would look at the tow bar mounting ones that have a shelve that the wheels sit on. I wouldn't get the wheel mount ones as it is just going to over stress an already stressed rear door.

I fit 2 bars to the spare wheel and bungee it to the wheel !

Just don't walk into the bars sticking out !

I got a spare wheel one, wouldnt advise it unless you have a swing away, They get pretty heavy. Only holds 2 bikes. Its ok, does the job, still obscures the lights though so im not too happy with it. A towball mounted one would be a good option for what you need IF you can live with removing bikes prior to opening rear door. Thats the only downside i can see. For DH bikes the wheel tray as such is a better solution than 2 bars poking out. Struggle with my stumpjumper FSR and the girlfriends 14" Myka as it is so wouldnt recomend for 2 big rigs over rought terrain really.
