Well bugger me... It was the easiest thing I have done on this car..ever.
Seems a land rover engineer saw this as a potential problem and gave an inch for adjustment due to wear or even initial fitting.
Noise level now 1000 times better and door now closes with a reassuring clunk. Wouldnt adjust it too much as will put strain on rest of knackered door parts.
Did all the doors...should keep fumes out now from the knackered exhaust.

Never seen a car where the striker plates are not adjustable, even the hinges adjust on some.

50 year old prostitutes, scousers scrapping. If you want a bit of light relief (and a break from all that ****e on the TV) ;) then go and do the tailgate top and bottom too. Makes a big difference to the noise level and a very satisfying clunk when they shut tight.
