Hey all, need help connecting my ecu to my laptop, installed software drivers for usb changed com port to 1, installed bigas software from cd bundled. Still won't connect, What going wrong? are the any other settings I need to change on laptop.

Connect to lpg ecu - laptop usb, then start engine. double click bigas software, keep getting CO1 error.

Help needed.

Is there a "Settings" tab ? If so there may be an option for "Com port settings" with a further option to Auto detect the port.
Chances are that you have not configured the port correctly.

It's is probably something I am doing wrong, I think its to do with the laptop because if I leave just the lead connected it flashes as if communicating with the lpg ecu. Can find any settings on the software for connecting apart from connect, which I have tried.

Are you using a usb/serial converter cable as the software for these can be troublesome to say the least, depending on the operating system.

Its a motogas lead with usb connector, which was tested before it was sent, driving me mad now.

When I was tryng to connect last night, I remved the usb cable from the laptop and the connection lights started flashing lke you would expect. when I plugged it back in to the laptop the go out and nothing happens, even with the bigas software running and manually clicking connet from the settings.

Diddly squat.

Phoned motogas up today, suggested I had done as much as I could with drivers and changing com ports etc. Tried my old man's Windows 7 laptop, it connected straight away without changing anything.

Sorted.
