MOT Passed just in time!!

Disco 1 300TDI, 1998 reg. Put the Disco in for a pre-MOT check a week gone Friday...all the usual welding needed done!! Plus the front brake lines and headlights!! Well, after my mate spent a week on the welding and the other stuff, we put her in for the dreaded test. Got her back today with an MOT Pass (couple of advisories...means more welding...but not till next year)...WOOHOO!!

OK, now I'm ready for the bad weather...BRING IT ON!!:blabla::blabla::blabla:

SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! im not quite ready yet.......

just a few more holes drilled in the sill for the plastic trim, and in the inner wings aswel and im ready (hopefully).

Just finding it hard to find the time what with the weather, busy at work and familly commitments. Still itll come, and hopefully before the snow!

ps my advice would be do the welding now while your mates still got his kit out, leave it till next year and the rust will have GROWN and the job will be twice as big - im speaking from experience.

Ha, ha..I would do but I'd better give him a bit of time to recover from the cuts and burns he got from this lot of welding!! Never realised someone could use so many expletives whilst working under a Discovery!!!

Just glad to have her back on the road for now. Gonna get Xmas out of the way, then it'll be a bit easier to get the work finished.

Just had mine done today, did'nt want to get caught out by bad weather so had it done a month early just incase she needed any work, but she sailed through no problem. WELL pleased now i've got 13 months mot.

I always put my motors in a month early to allow for any repairs, but I was told now if it fails it cancels out the old MOT so you don't have a month remaining!

I just got 13 months on my wife's Mazda as that passed ok
