Ok got the freeloader MOT yesterday all good
but can sombody explain why I pay so much road tax?
as she runs on LPG and has a Co reading of 0.00% out of a max of 3.5%
and a HC reading of 11ppm out of a max of 1,200ppm
and according to the log book it is taxed on a co rate of 248 grams per km
I,m not sure how the conversion goes from % to grams per km but zero is zero in my book.
giving that she starts on petrol then switches to gas wouldn't you think the robbers in whitehall could come to a agreement and lower the road tax
dont they have a consession for petrol/electric hy-breds? why not petrol /lpg

Had a quick look at the tax bandings as a A band of up to 100grm per kl is no tax where a K band which is where the freelander falls is 248 per kl
is £215 ...Sooooo when on gas its zero Co how about a split down the middle and call it £100 .
I think I'll have a word with my MP ( some chance)

Should you not be more concerned about possible HGF than tax bandings. Think yourself lucky you don't run a "56" plate Td4 auto.

LPG cars only get reductions/exemptions from road tax when its factory installed and assessed on that bases I believe....
