My own MIG is a SIP turbo 130, its good enough and doesnt blow the house fuses, LOL but for chasis work I tend to use my arc welder whenever possible but the 130 will cope too.

If I had to recomend then a 130 will do. Certainly non of my Landies have ever come apart after welding but I am a lloyds certified welder too

Just thinking for my first time this will make things easyer its gonna cost me £136

Would it be a case of unbolt the old sills (i noticed two bolts on each) then cutting out the sills with a grinder??? im gonna guess being gentle not to cut throught the outer sill?

Sorry if i sound patchy i've found loads of sites with pictures but no oune explaning how to remove lol just my luck.....

you got it, yes.. only dont be afraid of cutting too much, if its rotten it needs to come out, you can make good with patches afterwards. just bolt the new sill onto the chassis and make good around it. sounds easy LOL.

Yes the rear mounts are fine, you may need a boot floor panel too. how are the inner wings, a favourite rot point?
