Hi all,
Heading up to the lakes for 10 days in June. I’ve recently got a series 3 88” petrol on parabolics and AT’s (needs a paint job) and am about to get a 110 300TDI on AT’s - this will have a wading kit and snorkel fitted pronto. Not fussed about the ‘paintwork’ on that either.
Girlfriend and I are keen to do some laning whilst we’re up there. Transmission tunnel in the series gets very hot in low range despite recent oil change, but assuming I get that fixed I was wondering which one people would recommend for the lanes please? Would love to take the series but not sure if there’s likely to be deep water etc so any advice would be appreciated!
I’ve also got a permit for gatescarth whilst I’m up there, but naturally can’t do that if I take the 110. Assuming I fit some d-ring recovery points and a steering guard, do you think that’d manage gatescarth? I’d be going with mates who have properly modded Discovery’s who could give me a winch if needs be.
