For anyone that wants to join I am planning a round trip to Morocco and back over Christmas and New Year.
So far it's one vehicle from London (Defender 110)
and possibly one from Italy meeting me in Spain.

If other cars want to join in let me know,
and we can share routes and organizational stuff! :)

Hey Jon,

our plan is to go from Dec 19th until Jan 16th..ferris to Bilboa on those dates.

We're based near Epsom, so if you're local be cool to meet up and chat/plan/have a beer and see if we can meet up enroute or have some fun together down in Maroc.

speak soon mate,
Filski.

Yeh brittany ferrys are doing it. The crossing is also 6hrs shorter. We are using it in December as it works out cheaper then driving it.

"P&O have stopped the Bilbao ferry until May next year! Only Brittany ferries to Santander"

As above; P&O have stopped sailing UK-Spain, however Brittany ferries will starting on that route from Spring next year. See their website.

Sorry forgot to add; there will be no sleeper seats on the new Brittany ferries UK-Bilbao crossing I've checked. that's why we choose the crossing to Santander.

Sorry if I'm being stupid, but does a sleeper seat mean you don't get a cabin ? Is that much cheaper ?

I loved the ferry crossing, got totally hammered, met some pretty ladies, had a good nights sleep (in a cabin), and was well rested when I met my buddies who were well fooked after driving non stop through France ;)

You can have a cabin if you want; our cost was £7 each way for a seat, or £100 quoted return for a 2 berth cabin, obviously 4 berth cabins are more.

Incidently; our return fare for 3 people and <2.6m high Defender is £584 (Plymouth-Santander-Portsmouth), same dates Portsmouth-Bilbao return were £839!

Cheers, Mark
