more heater talk..

Checked wiring to heater box under bonnet, 2.5N/A defender, and there is power going to from the box, but theres still no airflow from the vents, i can feel that there is faint breeze of warm air so the matrix is warming up.

Question then...where is the motor for the matrix? In the heater box under the bonnet or in the cab somewhere?

If its in the heater/matrix box then whos bloody idea was it to rivet that to the bulkhead!!! Surely a huge design fault?

And can i just change the motor os should i just rip out the entire matrix box and put a new one in...cheers..

you can unbolt the entire heater box off the bulkhead - thats where the fan is.

I think its pop riveted on isn't it....anyway, i'll have a trawl on fleabay for a motor or a complete heaterbox...cheers Boydy

They are pop revitted together, but usually the whole box unbolts. The bolts go through to the passenger footwell area. I removed mine recently to assist access to the wing bolts.
