More air after ABS bleed

Hi guys.

I've bled my brakes (as instructed in RAVE) and for a week or so it was great. Firm pedal and braking started at the very top of the travel.
Now, two months passed, the pedal is "squishy" again. Sometimes firm, sometimes soft. Braking only starts after a a little travel :(
Also, I've heard the pump work and it is making a cracking sound as if air is travelling through.

My question: the fluid level is OK, so how is air getting into the system ? If there was a leak, I'd expect fluid level to drop ?

Your accumulator might be on the way out. Dead Easy fix but around £90.

Accumulator is 4 months old, it was one of the first "repairs" I did after getting the Rangie.

Obvious question , but fluid level not down? No little pin-hole leaks anywhere?
Fluid level is not dropping and can't find leaks anywhere

I`d try going thro` whole system bleed again and see what happens. It ain`t much of a response I know, but if any air comes out it should point to where any faults are: the corner, or section of reservoir that bubbles is where to investigate further. No air at all is maybe time for serious head scratching.

Does your abs light come on ?

Don't know if below is any help but useful to keep for routine info

The ABS electrical system has TWO relays and THREE
fuses, located in the engine compartment fusebox.
• Relay 2 (yellow) - ABS valve relay.
• Relay 15 (green) - Ignition relay - ABS power.
• Relay 17 (black) - ABS pump relay. Note that
this relay is unique to the ABS system.
• Fuse Maxi 3 (40 Amp) - ABS pump relay.
• Fuse 24 (5 Amp) - ABS ECU - Ignition supply.
• Fuse 27 (30 Amp) - ABS ECU - Battery supply.

ABS light only comes on during the light check: on, short off and then solid on until ~7km/h. According to the book, this is fine.
I've only seen it coming on once, during a hard brake, and that's when I decided to change the accumulator.

I'm going to bleed it again next weekend and see how it evolves from there.
