as the title says realy lol i am getting new wheels and tires for my disco(bruce) and after having 235/85 /16 tires on modulars, which set the stance great compared to the standard alloys, they was chewed up by the arches . i was wondering if they was on spoked wheels would the offset be as great as the modulars ??

yes thanks  but still a little confused . i need someone to tell me what to buy lol i am after insa turbo dakars but dont know what size ! Shall i man up and go big and get 265/75 and suffer having to 'adjust' the body work or be a girl and get the safe satandard 235/70 ???

if ya on std suspension they'll foul ya arches anorl. and you'll need to adjust lock stops. but seeing as the sticky lists exactly what you have to do to fit each size tyre you shouldn't need any forther info and 265/75's are way too wide for a std disco.

i have been reading the guide but it doesnt state the wheel offset of the two in question. my disco has been lifted 2" and had a minor camel cut thats it really :)

spoked wheels are often available in 7" whereas modulars are often available in 8" and 10"

i have had the 7" spokes, which were about an inch inside the standard arches, i now have 10" modulars, whicg are -50 offset, and are about in line with the edge of my 50mm extended arches, but the tyres stick out.

i ran 31x10.5x15 on 15x7" 8 spokes, and got away with a camel cut and 40mm lifting blocks. there was a bit of rubbing at full articulation, which would have required a minor amount more trimming off.

if you can get modulars in 7" then they are probably quite similar, but tbh, i dont actually know :)
