Hi, Replacing the standard with the plastic BMW (packaged TD4) a small notch did not align with the body. Simple enough to cut a new one, however have since wondered if any other element in it might be out of place.

Having recently acquired a 2006 HSE, changed the fuel filter, air filter, crankcase filter, turbo vent and an EGR blank. After which it seemed a bit smoother and more responsive. Then fitted the modified breather which seemed slightly retrograde. Talking subtleties and probably nothing - but thought I would ask in case an issue had ever been noted?

It only had 75k and no sign of a hard life, other than whoever serviced it had drilled the rivets out of the plastic part of the sump guard presumably as the frame front bolts would not budge. Self taping bolts on the fuel filter low pressure pump frame added to the general worry. Play in the drive shaft mounting bearings and a noisy sounding high pressure pump (after turning engine off) add to the projected entertainment. Ho hum.
