Discovery 2's have a bolder appearance all round. In other words, they're chunkier and have more prominent lines on the body panels etc. Key differences are the modern door handles, higher tail-lights and a much thicker C pillar. More subtle differences consist of the longer overhang at the rear & a slight difference in headlight/indicator design. The disco 2 is an entirely different car however despite the similarities.
