Hi

I have an 03 TD4 Auto and was reading the RoverRon site, specially about the Synergy 2.

Does anyone have any experience of this mod, does it make the car feel more responsive at low revs (below about 2500rpm)? Your answers needn't be highly technical, a gut feel will do!

Thanks

yes, it will, and with the built in MAF compensator that'll improve things below 2000rpm. You can read all about MAF failure on Rons site, but it is good kit & well worth the money. Also fit the egr bypass, it will help as well. All this will improve your Td4 auto no end.

fitted one to my manual td4, what a difference but had to fit egr bypass and performance air filter to stop it smoking rover rons advice after speaking to him. but it improved again so didnt mind the extra cash, i got 38 mpg towing a heavy caravan to southern italy and back so has also improved mpg.

Cwinossett, which filter did you fit, and did you fit the EGR Bypass that is recommended somewhere else on the site? Thanks to Chromiumuk for your confirmation of its worth and the EGR advice.

sorry for delay in reply. air filter supplied by rover ron but cant remember which make the egr bypass was off ebay easy to fit.
