There's a seal strip above the leak, you'll have to undo the nuts, split the two half's and replace that seal. It can go all wrong though! Door studs can snap orf!

Have you tried windscreen leak sealant? Silicone based and theoretically seeks out the leak. I've used it on the top of a windscreen seal and it worked, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised

Make sure the drain vents on the outside are free of debris.

If you split the frame the nut will be rusted to the stud, the studs will unscrew from the window frame though. They probably will need replacing.

If you renew the sealing strip make sure you get exactly the same military type, the ‘new’ replacement strip is a different profile, doesn’t seal and throws the window out of alignment.

I split mine, cleared the crap out, used window sealant below and above the seal. Paying particular attention around the short sealing strips through which the bolts pass. Now water tight..

Cheers guys i will check that out tomorrow. I didnt knoww there were any outer drain holes. Will probably pull it apart, clean and and refit with some window sealant to make sure. Fingers crossed thats the only leak!

Drains are 3 small slits about an inch long in the rubber seal between door frame and window frame which allows water to escape.

If this is your only leak you’ll be the first !!
