Evening guys,
I have a lovely 90 with a 2.5td 19j engine that i've only just realised has not got a clamp between the turbos hot exhaust side and the downpipe!
This I can imagine its not ideal to have exhaust gases escaping into the engine bay!
If someone could advise on the clamp I could buy or a way i can seal it, that would be much appreciated!
Thanks :D

I have just replaced the exhaust on my 200tdi. The old exhaust had some form of clamp that looked like the clamps on the steering rods, but the new one came with a standard U shaped exhaust clamp. I don’t know the size, but Halfords will stock them.

Same as what was fitted to mine before replacing the exhaust.

Mines the same, its a pants idea as I needed paste to get a gas tight seal

Luckily for me some previous owner fitted a full stainless system, them silly little bolts that hold the downpipe to the block were fiddly so and sos.

Have you still got the fibreglass heat shild fitted?

It will be refitted when I rebuild it, but yes I stil have it. I understand it’s quite a rare item now.

I purchased a system off eBay, sold as for defender 200tdi 110. Them bolts that go into the block didn’t line up. I needed to manufacture a new bracket. All joints are covered in paste, so it should seal.
