Hi guys, it would appear I may have a hose missing from the fuel rail. Is there supposed to be something connected here and if so, to where?

thanks in advance guys and hope everyone keeping well!!

The fittings you are looking are the injector leak off rail I believe the last one is blanked off , if diesel does not come out of it when engine running it is blanked.
The excess fuel goes out through the tube on No1 cylinder.

If, on tick over, it p!sses diesel out of that nozzle, it means that it is not blocked off internally. To block it off you just need a bit of hose of the same ID and some means of blocking it, i.e. something inserted in it and possibly a tiny jubilee clip or even just a good cable tie. One came off on mine on a Mway, not the end one, and diesel ended up over the back window and sadly inside the brake drum. So I wouldn't chance it!

Just to cheer you up, this is the ONLY breakdown I have ever had on my 300tdi! And technically was it even a breakdown? As it didn't stop the car running!
