Hi all,
My 2004 Discovery 2 TD5 Commercial has just failed it's French 'MOT' as the examiner cannot find the chassis VIN plate. He showed me where it should be found (on the right hand side of the chassis) and I have subsequently looked and cannot see it anywhere on the chassis. I have searched the web and it is supposed to be on the chassis forward of the front suspension turret.
The VIN plate In the engine bay and the plate on the windscreen & the v5 correspond and the vehicle passed its hpi check when i bought it earler this year. It passed it's UK MOT fine too.
Does anybody know where else I should look or maybe know why no chassis VIN should be present?
The car has a Land Rover 'special vehicles' plate under the bonnet (i think this is due to it being a 'commercial' as i think they are all converted by LR)
I'd appreciate any help with this one, thanks in anticipation,
Chris
