Missing a fan?

This may be a day question but am I missing a fan? When I look at the fan housing there is space for 2 fans but I only have one fitted (I'll try and get a photo of I can). If there should only be one is it worth adding another in the gap, and is it easy?

Might be something do do with AC, or rather lack of it. Do you have AC? (and what engine do you have?)

Non AC vehicles only need 1 fan.

Thanks @GrumpyGel and @Nodge68 Mine doesn't have AC so that explains it. I keep forgetting to include engine size, it's the 1.8.
