Is there a way of having door mounted mirrors but keeping the series2a hinges on. Coz for me the hinges a key icon that makes a series2a. and don't really wanna take that away. I have wing mounted ones. But it's not the same :(

Could you attach one to the windscreen frame instead? or straight to the door rather than the hinge? Or attach a bracket behind the current hinge to mount one off?
 
Hmm, it's finding the right sort of metal. But yea. Mounting a plate behind the hinge is a extremely good idea. Will try it out. cheers mike

My 2a has a door mounted mirror, I will have a look in the morning to see how it is fixed. Its not that great mind, the edge of the window glass is always in the way of the mirror.
