Minor Oil Leak Question.

I am slowly checking everything I can on my 2004 Defender TD5 before I order all the parts I need in one go, and I have a question regarding a small oil leak.

I have noticed a very small leak in the lower head seal (that is my guess at what it's called). I have attached a a picture:



It looks pretty minor, but I was interested in people's opinions on what might have caused it. I believe there is no gasket, but rather sealant.

The engine was remapped by the previous owner, and I wondered whether the extra heat produced by the richer combustion might have caused it. That might also account for the failed rocker cover gasket in such a short period of time (the car has only done 40,000 miles).

Oops, my mistake. It's a 2004 TD5. I've edited the original post.

It's a drop of oil which could have come from almost anywhere!
Forget it!!

that's nothing to worry about tbh . worry when all your oil sprays out of your header tank now that's fun

I hoped as much.
