What's the going rate for a military trailer. Skankey aren't they called? Anyway you know what I mean. I've seen them from £100 to £700. What is a fair price to pay? Should I expect good condition for £100?

Cheers

Sankey. You might be lucky and get one for £100. We swapped a series chassis and a few bits for our wide track sankey. I saw some at the Peterborough LRO show ranging from £275 - £325 which personally I think is a bit much. I have been told not to be too bothered if they look tatty bodywork wise - as long as the chassis is sound you can tart it up later.

A decent one will fetch anywhere between £150 and £250 on a private sale. Plenty out there so you can be choosy ;)

These were selling them at £250 ish, price has jumped a tad:eek:

Cheers. There's on on ebay for £100 but it still has some time left. It's got an entire kitchen in it with hobs and shelves so it seems a shame to just rip all of that out as it's no what I want. I'm not in a position to buy one at the moment but I just wondered what I should aim to pay. Thanks.

The field kitchens go for silly money usually.

Just look for a bog std Sankey.

For a while I can't either. Driving lessons ain't cheap and I don't even need to mention insurance companies, the thieving scum.

How old are you?

Well, I'm 36, always hated 4 wheel box's (car's) and preferred bikes & never needed to have a car driving license due to usually living on the job (pub manager/landlord). I then got married /had kids  and then insisted on getting a Disco for the family instead of a Toyota Town Ace which we had:eek:

My insurance is £740 with my wife as named driver, as for lesson's ... I've had a 2 hour crash course to make sure I could drive to our holiday destination last year (wife trashed her ankle), now, I could pass the test easily, but can't afford the fckin fee's:mad:

As a 2000+ poster I'm expecting to get ripped to shreds for this post:eek:

You won't get ripped from me cos I've had more arguments with people about being allowed to off road without a license that I care to mention. I'm 16. Surprisingly, Defenders are relatively cheap to insure when you first pass. I've tried to make it as cheap as possible by only having 3 seats and it being a commercial and things like that but we're still not talking pocket money.

Aye the insurance co. told me I was paying extra due to the Disco being a 7 seater.
