Middle row seat

Good afternoon,

Having searched Google and the forum I have not been able to fully solve my problem. Although I have read similar posts I still can't quite fix it.

The problem:

Middle row double (driver's side) seat won't roll forward. I pull the leaver on top of the seat and it folds flat. Then pulling the loop does nothing to release from the catch. From other posts I have read I've released the rivets holding the black velvet cardboard cover to which doesn't really give my much access as I can't remove it fully as there are rivets underneath. Not alot to see either. Can't find the release wire previous posts are on about.

Any help would be appreciated as I could do with folding it flat.

Iv sprayed the middle catch under the seat with wd40 but doubt it will do much as the loop does nothing anyway.

I have a similar but intermittent issue with my left side rear seat. I just soak the catches with WD40, leave it ten minutes and hey presto. I keep meaning to get a can of white spray grease to hopefully make it a more permanent fix but as I only fold the seats half a dozen times a year I’m not too bothered by a temporary fix when needed.
