Mid-Box Replacment

The guy who fitted the disco engine to my landrover bodged the discos exhaust pipe on too, which means that the mid-box sits under the chassis instead of in the middel of it; then it inebitably caught the ground whiles off roading and sheared the exhaust pipe in half. Ive welded that back on, but i am considering cutting out the mid box and welding a bit of pipe in instead so it doesent happen again. How much louder will this make the landy and will it pass its MOT like that?

if you can weld why dont you cut and fix the exhaust the right way and not try to do it quickly by running it straight and then having the unknown of if it'll pass the MOT or not

Because id have to fabricate a new down pipe with bends in it and i cant do that.
