Hi all!

I've unfortunatley ripped one of my tyres after some prat made me swerve and hit the curb!! grrr!

Tried to get a michelin synchrone 225/55/r17 today but no one seems to stock them anymore... any ideas where i could get one?

If not it looks liek i'm gonna have to pay out over £500 for a new set of lattitude jobys! :(

Cheers, Steve.

just read that listing and it seems they dunt make em any more.. and the seller found hisself in the same situation as yerself. if i was you i'd contact him and see if yer can do a deal before someone else gets in there.

My tyre guy says they dont do them any more

I have some NANKANG typrs on the front of mine at the moment and apart from some more noise they seem to be oK

ED

I managed to get a part worn Synchrone from a place on the road between Coleshill and Bassets Pole near Birmingham, can't remember name though, sorry, it cost me £65

strangly enough Kwik-Fit still show them on there web site, BUT they also claim...

"Kwik Fit are experts in automotive parts repair including tyres, brakes, exhausts, MoT testing, car servicing, air conditioning recharge and windscreen repair"

but that is a whole new debate.

i needed a new tyre when i got mine and ended up with some unheard of brand, although the tread pattern looks goods, Kuhmo i think it is.

4x4 tyres, tyre size 255/55 R 18 - Formula4

these list them but £163 a pop

This is very common of Michelin. I really like the 4x4 XPC's, so much so that whilst having a pair fitted to my freebie I spotted a new one under a stack of 5 tyres.

I paid £94 for it, but they last ages (covered 10K on the car and only 1 mm worn off. (originally 9mm). I have seen many LR vehicles cover 50K+ on Michelins as these were a factory fit tyre.

Try CALTHORPE TYRES LTD as I have used these guys for the last 15 years and these folk supplied my out of production Michelins.

Regards,

Steve

costco wholesale at thurrock did have them for £85 a corner, might be worth a ring, although you have to be a member. They do have individual members if you can prove you work for the government, civil service, nurse, doctor, fire person, police person, ambulance person, employed by the national health, teacher and so on....

Or you have your own firm (or know someone that does)

I have a feeling i'm gonna have to atleast get 2 lattitude tyres at £300 :(

Hi,

i have seen these on Kwik fit site - are they a newer version of the tyre?

well folks i've decided to get 4 brand spanking new tyres from Event Mobile!

the price of £504 all in!

its a bit more than i wanted to pay but thought my current tyres have nearly done 30,000 miles on them and thought for an extra £200 i might as well know there gonna last another 30,000 miles+

Has anyone used Event Mobile before?

Cheers Steve.

They've been and fitted me 4 nice new Latitude Tour HP tyres. Very good service.

I've kept the rear tyres which i'll try put on Ebay at some point. :)

when I replaced my synchrones back in January (costco), the guy did offer to get me synchrones, and said he could get them within 2 days. But he also warned me that they were due to be discontinued any time, and if I damaged one beyond repair, I might have trouble getting a replacement to match, which as we all know, can be critical on a freelander.

In the end, I got such a good price for the lattitudes, balanced against what I actually use the vehicle for, it seemed the logical way to go.
