Metropolis Sat Nav Screen

Hi all just bought a disco 2 metropolis with a faulty sat nav screen the sat nav works ok, their are a few lines down the display (that i can live with) but the main fault is it looks like it needs to move an inch or 2 to the left (not all the display is shown) my question is, is their a sub menu with a vertical or horizontal hold feature, or is the screen just knackered, (i suspect its come into contact with water at some time in its life) and if it is what other vehicles use the same screen ie p38, rover 75 any bmw models? The manual says it's a carin 3 system, thanks for your help

You would be better off buying a new portable Sat nav such as a Tom Tom as the one in your Disco is very out of date and old fashioned ie cannot do a search on post code.

We had one and took the fuse out of it as the world of sat navs have moved on a long way since your car was made.

Thanks for the reply, I know it's an old outdated system and I do have a newer portable sat nav, but because its there i belive it should work even if i never use it

so which other vehicles use the same screen so i can have a search on e-bay
