Yeah, except your lurking tends to end with you leaping out with your jacket open and no trousers.

Good to keep traditions alive else we would end up a liberal Nation frightened of our own shadow and unquestioning of each freedom quenching decision made by Big Brother.... ah feck, too late!

Agree completely - Only issue is that "one" usually needs to know how to weld ;) ......

Not so much with p38, it’s have to be a real bad one or a late one, they seemed to put more effort in at the beginning?
Every other LR I’ve had needed more welding then oil, just about lol

Right, Christmas and new year done.
Got to sort out the ignition sensor fault before I can do anything else. So just about to get to it.

Ignition sensor is now done. Hopefully. Drilled a hole in the column and sprayed that little bugger with lots of wd40. Seems to have done the trick. So far.
Transmission fluid changed a couple of weeks back.

Was all I had to hand that I could spray in. What would you recommend I use to spray in?

Contact cleaner is better than water displacer. Not pricey. Wd40 is like the work of Satan, developed in project paper clip (nasa) , then sold as a wonder chemical.

For instance, removes chewing gum from clothes, but will ruin your clothes worse than chewing gum in the process o_O

Ok, I'll get some contact cleaner tomorrow and squirt it in. Thanks for that.

It is good for early morning winter starts on a distributor cap. But who uses one of them ;)
Better than nothing, but not particularly brilliant at anything.
Seized bolts or whatever try Plusgas instead... you will never use WD again, is that good.

I got rid of a car with a distributor on it last August.
Will a contact cleaner keep the solenoid thingy lubricated?

Cleaner will evaporate so shouldn’t lubricate
