Measurement required - Air filter

Can someone with a petrol engine and an oil bath air filter fitted to their series please measure the length of the rubber flex pipe that goes between the two (I think it is part number 517903). pic from google:



I believe this is what I used from the top of my air filter in my 110 tdi conversion but need a measurement to check before I order a replacement after the fire.

I've got my old one here and a new Britpart one part no 517903. Old one is 36cm. New one is 42.5cm. Very generous Britpart. Looking at them side by side I still think I might try to clean up the old one. It looks better. Also the new one is only just wide enough. Looks like i've gained in length but lost out in girth!

Many thanks for that, it looks like I will need to rummage around the auto jumbles for an original as a longer one will be no good for me as it only just cleared the bonnet when closed before, I longer one would definitely be rubbing.
