Sorry, no. A place near me in Aylesbury up Rabans Lane used to do them but not sure if they are still there. My memory for names isn't good. Dopey's mate is very much word of mouth but he knows his stuff when it comes to BMW.
been looking on ebay but would sooner buy from a recommendation.

Chip in mine produces around same BHP as the L322 TD6. It is quick but not as spritely as the L322 because the TD6 has five speed box with a lower first gear ratio so gets away PDQ.

With the political war on diesels, they have no future. The MOT over here can reputedly detect unauthorised modifications to the ECU which is a fail.

Maybe on more modern ECUs with much finer EGR control that can be interrogated, but i doubt that with the P38 ECUs which are only level 2 with feedback, hence the need for a MAF sensor.

They certainly can on the Transit which can be remapped via the OBD connector, but you may well be right with the P38. Not bothered, I'm happy with the standard performance which is better than any of my previous 4 x 4's.

Anything from 2004 and up i would think when diesels had to be OBDII compliant. ;)

The P38 should of got the 3.1 VM 5 pot, no need for a remap with them..

375nm at 1800rpm :D but no they thought 270nm at 2500rpm and an engine out of a 325TDS was more than adequate for a 2.2 ton 4x4  considering other 4x4's at the time would walk past it..
A 2.8 4m40 Shogun feels faster than the P38 diesel..

Remap does them good...

Perhaps they had their fingers burnt with the earlier versions of the VM 'Enery, didn't they start with a 1.9 then a 2.4 until the 2.5 which pulled like a train but was s bit agricultural. Found paperwork from one of our trips to Spain with the caravan averaged 14.7 mpg over 5000 miles

I can assure you a 2.8 Pajero auto is a good bit slower then a P38, I had one before the P38. The P38 diesel transmission is not up to more torque and the bean counters would not have wanted to fit the HP24.

BMW would hardly fit an engine from another manufacturer.
