hi guys,

had a lot of difficulty changing gears last week, clutch pedal was erratic (one minute there was pressure, 10 minutes later goes limp, then worked again).

going by the threads on here, i ended up getting the local mechanic to change both the master and slave cylinders. picked it up today and he said it works, but the clutch is about to go:(

it's a 2004 td5 90, and my garage said they will fit the clutch kit if i supply it (valeo). they charge a reasonable £45 an hour and say it will take 6 hours, total cost including clutch labout and VAT - £420. sound reasonable?
MUST i replace flywheel too?, it will be the original one, like the clutch and will have done just under 60k. thanks:)
