I’ve got a defender 90 td5, wouldnlike to get a decent manual for maintenance and bits and pieces, is the Haynes one any good or is there a better one out there??

Download RAVE and use that.
There are plenty of links on here, but being on one of those iPaddy things, I can't paste a link.

Haynes manuals used to be a good thing to have for many vehicles, but there are better options online now and RAVE is difficult to beat particularly when its free.

I use the paper Land Rover manuals, original equipment workshop and parts catalogue.
I find digital manuals to be a pain in the back side, its easier to bring a book with you to the garage or drive when doing work or take a few pages from the folder, I don't know if they have them for TD5 but worth checking. I gave around 50 quid for both mine on EBay and its the best 50 quid I ever spent on any vehicle.
