Hey peeps.

The winder in my sunroof needs an extra 1/4 turn past the lock to close it properly, otherwise the thing bounces around and leaks water. I've looked at the leaking sunroof thread in the archive and it seems to involve stripping out the head lining. Mine doesn't leak when closed. Is it possible to just get to the winder mechanism by removing a few screws and "adjust" it to remove the slack?

I'm going to take a look anyway...just wonder if anyone else has had this issue and there's a how-to out there that my search hasn't revealed.

It appears that the glass seal has been over compressed, easily done with manual winders I believe, as there's no adjustment your only option is to replace the seal.
Just remove the glass (only 4screws) remove seal and fit new one.

Thanks Discool. I'll look at the seal first then. Given the age, this would seem logical as well.
