erm 2 rebuilt auto box,s is why
One advantage of it I suppose is your not going to be worried about the if and when the transmission fail safe light would come on!! Mine went through a fade not long ago from flickering on and off on the TD6 but it’s stopped popping up now but gearbox seems slightly jerky between reverse and drive. Not sure if a service would cure that or not
The expense of doing it..
Might aswell get a more "modern" L322 with the proper 6spd auto..
While a relatively weak unit, you shouldn't be rebuilding them very often. It seems an extreme response to the OP having rebuilt a couple of them.
I don't think it was the same oneWhile a relatively weak unit, you shouldn't be rebuilding them very often.
A good rebuild should last 100k minimum.
unless something is being done wrong
Possibly, could be your sprag clutch on way out, oil change may prolong it a bitseems slightly jerky between reverse and drive. Not sure if a service would cure that or not
rebuilt by 2 different company's, second time was supposed to of had the upgrades lasted 13 months,
at the moment its just a 3 ton brick, going manual doesn't look difficult at moment just figgering how to fit a clutch pedal in the small gap
