Mansfield desert

Just wondering if anyone is going tomorrow Sunday?

Been up today for a look around, first time I've been even though I only live 15 mins away.
Great place by the looks of it, good atmosphere, plenty of people to help pull you out, made me want to buy an old pickup and have a go!

This guy seemed to know his stuff....

I keep meaning to go up and have a look, just worried as to how a standard 90 with ats would cope

I've been up in a series 3 with mud tyres on and my mate had standard disco with ats on and only got stuck though driver error, and as said plenty of help to pull you out.
Still finding sand after about 20 washes though.

Is Mansfield desert up in Oak tree? or am I thinking of the wrong place?

yeah just at the back of oak tree lane estate mate,theres a greenlane that runs at the side of it. iv only been up 1 time but was a craking day need too have another visit ASAP!

Haha! I lived in oaktree and never knew, might be worth checking out. saying that in hippo might be hard enough just getting to the start

I believe it's £25 and yes it is 100% legitimate, above board and backed by notts police who may be around in their defender

Yep open sat and sun and its £25 per veh and its not a bad site for the price, it's well run and even though the police sponsor it they don't have anything to do with ya

ive been once before it was legal the nice police man in the defender took my disco off me lol.its a huge place the bits i went round were realy good.is it open every weekend???
