Howdy y'all,

been a while, hope all is well in the series community.

Ive a slight issue... my S3 ex military is giving me a headache, no suprises there.

Im replacing the inlet/exhaust manifold and have the issue of the 2 studs that are coming off of the block are spinning, got nuts on each one but they wont tighten up or come off because the stud is spinning.

What is the best way to take the nuts off? will i need to replace the studs when i do get them off?

Cheers

When you've got them out it may be worth having a play around with the correct sized tap. Most studs don't hit the bottom of the thread - and there may be some thread at the end of the hole which will hold. A bottom tap may be needed. If you then fit a suitable stud (A set-screw with the head removed may be necessary) and stick the stud in with a studlocker (glue - designed for the job) and carefully tighten the manifold at the appropriate time it may hold.

Otherwise its getting the thing helicoiled I suppose. I don't know if there is enough metal to drill out.
